President’s Message 2019-2020
Welcome to the Junior Auxiliary of Slidell website!
The Junior Auxiliary of Slidell (JAS) is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit service organization made up of women committed to serving the greater Slidell community. JAS women are active leaders in our community who strive to focus our service projects on children, families and the elderly. As a member of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA), we endeavor to be active in our community by providing service projects that meet our local needs.
With the support of our corporate sponsors, JAS developed eight service projects that include: Backpacks4Kids, Fun Day With JA, Hearts United (2018 Child Welfare Award), Juniors in Service, Literacy Liaisons, Children’s Life Skills, and Spelling Bee as well as our new project, S.T.E.A.M. in the Park, an educational festival in Heritage Park coming March 14, 2020. We also have a scholarship program, College Bound, for seniors in high school to apply for needed college expenses. One project at a time, we are making a difference in our community as we have continuously done for over 50 years.
I invite you to explore our website where you will find information on our history, service projects, and our corporate sponsors. In addition, you will find links to connect to our Facebook page and how to follow us on Twitter. Please take the time to connect with us and monitor the phenomenal impact we are having on our community. If you want to help support our efforts, we would love for you or your company to become one of our corporate sponsors today!
With passion and enthusiasm, JAS not only dedicates our hearts, but we also provide our hands to serve those in need. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me via e-mail at JASlidell@gmail.com or by phone at (985)265-7111. Thank you for your time and interest in the Junior Auxiliary of Slidell.
