A Day for Girls Health

FreeA Day for Girls’ Health educates Junior High and High School girls through educational chats and informative booths presented by community and business groups.
Educational topics include: Health and nutrition tips; fitness; body image; internet safety; teen suicide, depression, stress management; living drug and tobacco free. Also included are numerous door prizes, giveaways, a fashion show, dancing, and hair and cosmetic makeovers.
The even also features a chat session, #letschat, that will provide open communication with older teen girls to help navigate through the pitfalls and high points of teen life today. Older peers will share their experiences and give tips on how to make Junior High and High School days positive ones, leading to a brighter future. Kelly Cameron, MEd, LPC will seve as the moderator of this session.
